Assignment 4
Careers in Photography - Photojournalism
Photojournalism is the communication of news through photographs. These images tend to appear in print newspapers and magazines as well as online media sites and microblogging platforms. A picture is worth 1,000 words and can instantly enhance the story that a news article communicates to its readers.
For this assignment, you will be creating a SharePoint page to demonstrate your best photojournalism skills on the topic of...photojournalism. You must research online and create a one page original article with accompanying photos all about the career of a photojournalist. Put differently, imagine you are working for a photography magazine as a photojournalist, and they ask you to create a spread (aka, article) about your job as a photojournalist.
You will need to:
accurately define and demonstrate the role of the photojournalist
education requirements?
salary?
skills?
purpose?
ethical standards (see below for more info - this is probably one of the most important points here)
Provide examples of the various responsibilities of a photojournalist
Include photos, charts, graphics that support your writing and research
Use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation
Sources and links you find information from are provided at the end under a "references" heading.
Your SharePoint page is interesting and engaging and thoughtfully laid out using the design features available in SharePoint
A rubric will be used for evaluation. See the rubric below for specific expectations.
