Assignment Instructions: Food Photography
Overview:
For this assignment, you will choose a recipe, make the dish for your family or friends, and take a professional-looking photo of the finished dish. You will also provide a link to the recipe on your sharepoint page, and for bonus marks, a photo of your family or friends enjoying the dish.
Instructions:
Choose a Recipe: Find a recipe online that you would like to try. You can choose any recipe you want as long as it is suitable for your families or friends and you are able to find all the necessary ingredients.
Make the Dish: Once you have chosen the recipe, make the dish. Follow the recipe carefully and take your time. Note any substitutions you made or changes to the recipe.
Take a Professional-Looking Photo: After the dish is finished, take a photo of it as if it were going to be featured in a magazine. Take the photo in good lighting, using a clean and simple background, and focusing on the food. You can use a phone or a camera to take the photo.
Share the Recipe: Provide a link to the recipe you used on your sharepoint page. You can also include any notes you took while making the dish, such as adjustments to the recipe or cooking tips.
Bonus Marks: For bonus marks, take a photo of your family or friends enjoying the dish. This photo can be less formal than the previous one but should still be of good quality.
Submission: Submit your assignment on your sharepoint page, including the link to the recipe, the professional-looking photo, and the bonus photo if applicable.
Grading:
Your assignment will be graded on the following criteria:
Creativity in recipe choice and execution
Quality of the professional-looking photo
Quality of the bonus photo, if applicable
Clarity and completeness of the recipe link and any notes
Deadline:
The assignment is due before June 20th. Late submissions will not be accepted.
